じつは。私、いかざき伸一郎。英語が大の苦手です。一度。５０歳ぐらいのとき。「ＴＯＥＩＣ」のテストを受けたのですが。その時の点数は。なんと！２５０点。テストは、４択問題で、９９０点満点。確率で言えば。目をつぶって答えても２５０点取れる計算です。実質０点です。
Actually. I’m Shinichiro Ikazaki. I’m not good at English. one time. About 50 years old. I took the TOEIC test. How many score did I get in that test? 250 points. The test was a 4-choice question, out of 990 points. If I calculate with probability. I can get 250 points even if I answer with your eyes closed. It is virtually 0 points.
これが。私の英語の実力です。学生時代。「君の英語は。いま一、いま二、いやいや、いまだ三だよー。」と。先生から言われるほど。そんな、つまらんギャグで。私は。いつの間にか。今田さんにされました。

私も、このままじゃダメだと。高校３年のとき。苦手な英語を克服するため。夏休みは英語の勉強に集中！英単語と長文英語の勉強を徹底的にやるぞ！と決意！ただ。結局何もできずで。夏休み、ジャン終了。受験にも大きく影響したと思います。たいへん悔いを残しました。
I thought that it was useless if I was not good at English. When I was in my third year of high school, I decided to focus on studying English during summer vacation to overcome my weaknesses! ただその後は、「のど元過ぎれば、ほにゃらか」で。なんも気にせずに生きてきましたが・・・。６０歳になって。なにか。引っかかるものがあるのでしょう？無意識のうちに。「終活」として。悔いを残さないために英単語を覚えているような気がします。

そして、そして。必死に英単語を覚えました。ただ。年を取ったらダメですね。覚えることはできるのですが。その後は残念！きれいに言えば。「砂に書いたラブレター」。リアルに表現すれば、ザルで水をすくうようなもの。
